Project MADE’s first program for the year 2012 is the “ Light of Cheer 2012 : Chinese New Year Feeding Program @ Klang”. This is a joint program between Project MADE and her Sister NGO – 1Month 1 Charity. This program was carried out recently -  Sunday, 15/1/2012.
Under this program a total of 21 families who will be celebrating Chinese New Year were given food parcels. On top of that we also distributed food packages to 2 other Homes in Klang. The 21 families came from the students of SJK (Cina) Hin Hua, Jalan Batu Nilam, Klang. The 2 Homes which we visited were Yayasan Kasih Sayang, YWCA Klang – a home for the mentally-challenged and Good Samaritan Home, Klang – a home for abandoned children & orphans.

After weeks of planning and hundreds of hours of coordination – both Project MADE & 1M 1C managed to pool our resources together. Between the 2 of us - we are proud to say that we collected enough food items to fill the Food Bags. Personally, we both felt fulfilled and satisfied.
Each family were given:
1.     Dry Food Bag consisting of rice, sugar, salt, oil, meehoon, instant noodles, pork luncheon meat, cookies, condensed milk, orange cordial, MILO, Power Root products.

2.     Wet Food Bag consisting of fresh chicken, fresh vegetables, mandarin oranges.
To top it all the families were each given an Angpow of RM50. That brought a wide smile to the children and their families.

The Feeding Program was participated by the Neuramatix Team who had contributed 20 sets of Dry & Wet Food Bags. We were also joined by Mr. See Thuan Po – a Director of Power Root Bhd. and his Mom, Mrs. See Snr.
Both Neuramatix & Power Root Bhd. were the 2 corporate sponsors for the CNY Feeding Program. On top of that, we also had other individual sponsors who had come forward and contributed towards the CNY Feeding Program.
The Sponsors had no qualms in getting their hands dirty. They even helped in the last minute carrying & ferrying, packing and arranging the food parcels. Everyone worked together and there was good camaraderie with laughter and jokes being traded around.

Thank You, Thank You & Thank You...

The Back to School Program 2012 was successfully carried out in November 2011. Children from various schools in Klang, Kapar, Kuala Selangor, Tanjong Karang, Batang Berjuntai, Ijok, Sekinchan, Mentakab, Rawang - just to mention a few - benefitted from this Program.

The Program kitted more than 500 children with a set of school uniforms, a pair of shoes, 2 pairs of socks, a school bag and some stationery to each of them. These children would not have had these items - had it not been for the generosity of our benevolent Sponsors & Donors.

On behalf of Project MADE Kidz, I wish to record our most humble gratitude to the following Sponsors/ Donors:

1. Century Logistics
2. Rotary Club of KL Metro
3. Rotary Club Melawati
4. Mr. & Mrs. Chua Jern Ern
5. En. Fadyl & Puan Yasmin Yong Abdullah
6. Puan Aida Shamsuddin & Family
7. Sri Narayani Foundation

Thank You, Thank You & Thank You!

The Shoe Story.....

The Project MADE Back to School Program 2012 could be carried successfully because we had a lot of help from many quarters. Initially, the Sponsor for the school shoes had withdrew his offer at the 11th hour. This was because that particular Sponsor had unfortunately suffered a terrible personal crisis.

I was rather concerned since that meant Project MADE Kidz would have to go without school shoes – a very essential item for school! However, we were very lucky as Century Logistic generously offered to pay for the school shoes. With a very generous contribution from Century Logistics, we were able to provide the following items:

Shoes - 520 pairs of BATA Shoes @ RM30 per pair pair = RM15 600

Socks – 700 pairs @ RM3 per pair = RM2 100

Bags – 300 pieces @ RM17 per piece = RM5 100

520 children from various estate schools in Kapar, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Tanjong Karang, Batang Berjuntai, Ijok, Mentakab, Rawang amongst others were provided with a pair of school shoes each. The children and their parents were grateful for the shoe contributions as it meant that the children could start the new  school year with a new pair of shoes.
Thank You So Much, Century Logistics especially to Mr. Steven Teow for your generosity
