Today is a very special day - it is Eva's 15th birthday. To celebrate this special occassion, Eva chose to share her special occassion with The Rawang Kidz @ Rumah Siraman Kasih (The Shower of Love) in Rawang. The children who live in this Home are either orphans, abandoned children or are from poor & underpriviliged families. At around noon, we went to visit The Home. We brought with us 60 packs of Tomato Rice & Chicken, 2 types of kuihs, mineral water & goodie bags consisting of 2 packet of MILO drink, 2 bars of Kit Kat choc and an apple.
It is a good feeling to see them enjoying and tucking into their lunch with relish!
FRIENDS OF KAPAR took this opportunity to distribute PE attire consisting of a pair of track bottoms & white Tshirts to The Rawang Kidz, as they had requested for these earlier on. On top of that, they had also requested for food & drink containers as these children usually bring packed food & drinks to school to save cost.
The PE Attire Project was made possible by the generous contribution of Lillian Fang of Bandar Utama & her band of friends. Thank you Liliian & Co. The children are very grateful as none of them had any as of yesterday.
The Food & Drink Container Project was made possible by the generous & kind contributions of Puan Adawiah - 10 sets of cotainers for 10 children, Puan Juwita - 10 sets of containers for 10 children, Puan Yasmin Yon See Ting - 15 sets of containers for 15 children, Puan Naadira & Dr. Ridzwan for 10 children. on top of these food & drink containers, Puan Juwita as well as Puan Naadira & Dr. Ridzwan contributed 1 bag of 10kg rice and 1 carton of drinking water, respectively. Thank You, everyone for making this project a success. Just look at their happy faces!!
FRIENDS OF KAPAR has committed to assist The Rawang Kidz by providing food items on a monthly basis. We also contributed 50 kg rice, 3kg X 3 pkts meehoon, 10 kg wheat flour, 60 eggs, 3 tins biscuits, 10 tins sardines, 5kg potato, 5 kg sugar, 5 kg oil, 2kg x 2 tins malted drink, MILO drink - 10 cartons. Thank You So Much to Puan Siti Haja and Puan Juwita for the rice as well as to our various contributors for these food items.
Prior to this visit, I collected some toys from Lillian Fang & friend. After sorting and sifting through the toys, I managed to salvage a sizeable amount and brought these for The Rawang Kidz. It warms theheart to see the boys playing with a big basketful of action heros and toy soldiers. Even the girlz weretempted to play and they built little homes and castles with the LEGO blocks that were given. Check out how much fun they had. They were oblivious to Eva's snapping shutters, as they were too engrossed in playing.
