The day when the "Angels" came...

On Sun, 16/10/2011 - a group of ladies from Inner Wheel Club of PJ, left their warm and comfortable homes very, very early in the morning so that they could warm the homes of some poor & underprivileged families in Kg. Koboi, Kuala Selangor.

These four "Angels" - Val, Thavam, Usha & May drove in their little car for 1 1/2 hours to reach Kg. Koboi. They came ladden with Deepavali Goodies for 8 families in Kg. Koboi.

As fate would have it, the heavens opened up and it rained heavily on them whilst they were doing the Deepavali Feeding Program. These ladies unwinchingly put on their hats, wrapped themselves in plastic raincoats and cheerfully went about their work.

I have nothing but respect for them Not one of these affluent ladies complained about the discomfort that they were feeling. May - even injured herself when her foot fell through the wooden bridge she was crossing. (See pix above)

8 families were fed under The Light of Cheer 2011: Deepavali Feeding Program @ Kg. Koboi, Kuala Sgor with IWC PJ. Each family was given Goodie Bags worth RM150, Deepavali Love Offering - RM100 & a batik sarong.

The Goodie Bag consisted of rice, wheat flour, sugar, meehoon, Maggi Mee, oil, curry powder, sardines, semolina, ghee, biscuit, tea, Nescafe, MILO, Everyday Milk, F&N Orange Cordial, Chilie Sauce, Kit Kat Chocolates
