On Sat, 22/10/2011 - Project MADE conducted its Light of Cheer 2011 : A Deepavali Feeding Prog @ Mentakab. We did not only feed families in Mentakab but also in Karak, Temerloh, Maran, Jerantut, Kuala Krau. A total no. of 40 families were given some special provisions as Deepavali is just around the corner.
The Feeding Contingent came with rice, sugar, flour, oil, dhall, sardines, curry powder, fruit cordial, tea, biscuits, milk, chili sauce, fresh vegetables, chicken, fresh fruits, cakes and many, many more food items. This year Project is very lucky as she was awarded with 40 HUGE boxes containing various food items as well as 10kg bag of rice from The Textile Merchant Traders Association of Jln. Tunku Abdul Rahman, Jln. Masjid India, Jln. Melayu. These boxes were distributed to each of the families in Mentakab, Temerloh, Maran, Jerantut, Kuala Krau. Thank you to Mr. Bharat for organising these boxes of food.

We left our individual homes very, very early in the morning and met up at the designated meeting point , which is The Mc Donald Outlet just before the Gombak Toll at 7 am sharp. After a quick breakfast, we drove towards Karak town - a journey that took us 1 hour - where we were met by our Contact Pax.
In Karak, we visited 7 families and the other 33 other families were spread far & wide. Everywhere we went, there was excitement in the air as we visited the identified families. Clearly, this must be the first time such an occassion was conducted.
