The Ramadhan Feeding Prog @ Mentakab was held on Sat,
14/7/2012. This was the last of a series of Ramadhan Feeding Programs which
Project MADE had organized in preparation of the oncoming Ramadhan (Fasting
month – which incidentally falls of Sat 21/7/2012).
This time around The
Ramadhan Feeding Program was held at Kg. Awah, Kg. Paya Dalam, Sri Kemuning Low
Cost Flat – ALL in Temerloh & Tmn. Bkt Bendera – Mentakab
We were blessed as the Food Parcels were laden with
food items generously contributed/ donated by many, many Contributors/ Donors
some of whom are Non-Muslims. It warms my heart to see everyone chipping in to
feed the Poor & Underprivileged regardless of race & religion.

Initially, Project MADE planned to serve only 20
Families. However, upon special request by Contact Pax – Pastor Steven – we brought
an extra 5 Food Parcels. The Monster was laden with goodies.
It was quite
ironic – our Contact Pax – the bridge between Project MADE & the Muslim
Recipients is a Christian Pastor! Pastor Steven did a wonderful job identifying
the very poor Families. Those whom he introduced to Project MADE were really
poor.
Check out the
pix below of the Recipient Families and their homes.

Above: The woman above is a Single Mom living alone. Even her children abandoned her..... (in Green) Kak Siah |

Above: The Uncle standing in the middle is a Church Elder. He came along to help. I found out that Uncle grew up, amongst these Families. He was endearingly talked to by the Pakcik who is blind & partially deaf. The Pakcik is taken care of by his aged wife. The moment we walked into the house we could smell the stank of urine. He has incontinence but refused to wear an adult diaper. Hence his wife put him in the Kitchen nearest to a water hole. |

Above: This Old Woman is a widow and lives alone in a rickety old house. Her son & daughter-in-law live just next door to her in a nice house but they refused to take her in to live with them. She cooks her own meal & at night stays at her cousin's house some walking distance away..... |

Above: This man is an Odd Job Worker - he has a tumor in his stomach. Whether the tumor is benign OR malignant - I am not too sure. He is awaiting for an Operation date... |

Above: This is Mohd Firdaus, 23 years old. Three year ago, he was hit by a car on th Temerloh main road as he was crossing the road to go home after throwing the garbage. He has been left in a paraplegic state. Not able to talk, sit, move or eat. I cried secretly when I met him & his Mom. His Mom is a single mom - her husband abandoned her. She used to go to work but because of Firdaus she decides to stay home to take care of him. I am not too sure how they managed. Firdaus's needs are 5 packs of adult diapers every month and 10 tins of Ensure FOS - as he is fed intravenously. I am going to Mentakab on Tuesday, 17/7/2012. I am going to bring 5 packs of adult diaper - size L with me. Project MADE will try to provide 5 packs of adult diapers on a monthly basis for Firdaus so as to lighten the Mom's burden. |
