Syawal Feeding Prog @ Mentakab

The Light of Cheer 2012 : Syawal Feeding Prog @ Mentakab was held on Sat, 11/ 8/ 2012. As we were still in the month of Ramadhan, the Syawal Feeding Prog was held early in the morning.

We left KL after Subuh Prayers.

As early as 8:30am – we congregated at the Temerloh Toll. The contingent of Volunteers/ Sponsors, this time was accompanied by a Century Truck which was sponsored by Century – a Logistic and Transportation Company. We carried Food Parcels for 30 Poor & Underprivileged Muslim Families. By 12 noon – ALL the Food Parcels were distributed.

Each Families were given Food Parcels worth RM300, containing: Rice – 10kg/ Wheat Flour – 2kg/ Meehoon – 2 pkt/ Maggi Mee – 2 packs/ Sugar – 2kg/ Salt – 1pkt/ Oil – 2L/ Sardines – 2 big tins/ Condensed Milk – 2 tins/ Lycheees – 2 tins/ Curry Powder – 1pkt/ Ketupat Nona – 2pkt/ MILO – 1 pkt/ Nescafe – 1 pkt/ Tea – 1 pkt/ Nespray Milk Powder – 1 pkt/ Biscuit – 1 big tin/ Power Root Goodie Bag/ Nestle Goodie Bag/ Toiletries Bag/ Batik & Pelikat Sarong.

Some Families were  also given adult diapers, special milk formula – Ensure FOS  Nutren  : based on their needs

 
The Families whom we visited consisted of Single Moms and Senior citizens, as well as the old and infirmed. There was joy and smiles all around when we arrived to distribute the Food Parcels.
