Deepavali Feeding Prog @ Ldg. Coalfields

Sun, 28/ 10/ 2012 – Project MADE  carried out the last of the Deepavali Feeding Prog. This time the Festive Cheers were brought into the homes of our Families in SJKT Ldg. Coalfields.
The Deepavali Feeding Prog @ Ldg. Coalfields marked the last of the series of the Deepavali Feeding Progs under Project MADE  Light of Cheer Progs.

 A total of 10 Poor and Underprivileged Families consisting of Single Moms were given the Festive Food Parcels consisting of  Rice – 10kg/ Wheat Flour – 2kg/ Sugar – 2kg/ Meehoon – 2 pkt/ Instant Noodles – 2 packs/ Cooking Oil – 2L/ Cordial – 2L/ Biscuit – 1 tin/ MILO/ Nescafe/ Coffeemate/ Tea/ Sardines – 2 tins/ Condensed Milk – 2 tins/ Lychees – 2 tins/ Curry Powder/ Chili Powder/ Salt/ Dhall. These items were sponsored by Inner Wheel Club of PJ  headed by their President Mdm. May Khoo.

On top of that – Mory San and her Children contributed loaves of bread, jars of jam, soya sauce, potato and onion towards the Food Parcels.

There were also a contribution of Toiletries consisting of Bath Soap/ Bath Cream/ Toothpaste/ Toothbrush/ Sanitary Pads from Jess and the children of Sri KDU Secondary School.

New Blouses and Sarongs  were also distributed. The Children were given treats of sweets, chocolates, cakes and buns – these cheered them tremendously. Toddlers were given Milk Powder.

Above: Home Visitation _ This Lad's Husband passed away suddenly 5 months ago due to heart attack. He was only 38 yrs. old. She's left to take care of their 2 young children and an elderly mother. She is not working as yet but is in the process of looking for a job. Every month she has to pay RM300 for the house mortgage and also the utility bills. Feeding the Family is a daily struggle.
