Deepavali is just round the corner. As in previous years, Project MADE tries to spread the festive cheer to our Families under The Light of Cheer 2012 : Deepavali Feeding Program.

For the charity year of 2012 -  Project MADE decided to start Distribution of the Festive Food Parcels much earlier.

This year we managed to spread the Light of Cheer to 110 Poor and Underprivileged Families in Mentakab, Temerloh, Kuala Kerdau – in Pahang as well as in Bukit Rotan Baru, Ladang Mary, Ladang Coalfields, Puchong – in Selangor.

Preparation towards the Deepavali Feeding Program started about 3 months ago. Various planning, discussions, purchase of items were carried by the main Sponsors : Asha and Pathma – 2 very generous and benevolent ladies. By the 1st week of October all the food items started trickling in from various Sponsors.

Sorting and packing were done systematically. As there was space constraint – the packing had to be done in stages and a strict system had to be observed.

The items were sorted out and individually packed in color coded plastic bags. There were 6 different bags. After that the items were then assembled into The Blue Bag.

Then The Blue Bags were cross checked, tied, counted and arranged neatly – ready to be transported for distribution.

In conclusion, the preparation went very well despite the fact that we faced space, manpower and time constraints.
