Deepavali Feeding Prog @ Mentakab

The Light of Cheer 2012 : Deepavali Feeding Prog started with a Feeding Prog in Mentakab. A total of 50 Poor and Underprivileged Families from Mentakab, Temerloh and Kuala Kerdau were served.

Project MADE and her Sponsors left KL at 7am on Sat, 20/ 10/ 2012. By 8:30 am we all congregated at Temerloh Toll. A total of 1 Lorry, 2 MPVs, 1 Monster Truck and 3 city cars made up the convoy of Sponsors.

We brought Food Parcels consisting of:-

Rice – 10kg/ Wheat Flour – 2kg/ Sugar – 2kg/ Meehoon – 2 pkt/ Instant Noodles – 2 packs/ Cooking Oil – 2L/ Cordial – 2L/ Biscuit – 1 tin/ MILO/ Nescafe/ Milk Powder/ Coffeemate/ Tea/ Sardines – 2 tins/ Condensed Milk – 2 tins/ Lychees – 2 tins/ Curry Powder/ Chili Powder/ Salt/ Dhall/ Bread and Jam

Power Root Berhad - generously contributed an attractive Goodie Bag to each of the Families.
Apart from the Food Parcels, we brought Toiletries consisting of Bath Soap/ Toothpaste/ Toothbrush/ Sanitary Pads, as well as new blouses and sarongs.

The children were given packets of muruku, sweets, chocolates, cakes and buns as treats. This brought tremendous joy to the Estate's Children. Milk Powder were also distributed to the Toddlers and Infants.

Our first visit was to Kg. Awah Estate, in Temerloh. Next was Sri Kemuning Low Cost Flats also in Temerloh. The last stop was The Bkt. Bendera Low Cost Flats – in Mentakab.
Above: A Family in Kuala Kerdau. 7 young children. Dad is very sick - with a damaged liver and kidneys - due to boozing. Mom is pregnant...yet again.
As we concluded earlier than expected – Project MADE carried out a Home Visitation to Kuala Kerdau, which was quite a distance away from Mentakab. By 1pm we concluded the Deepavali feeding Prpg.
