Northgate Arinso Social Club was represented by Santhi Rajendran who came with her dad - "Uncle Rajen", Angeline Kaur + 4 year old Nick & her sister, Norizan Mohamed.
They brought with them rice, meehoon, flour, sugar, salt, oil, sardines, dhall, bath soap, toothpaste, sanitary pads, condensed milk, MILO.
We met at 7:30am at the regular rendevous point - Setia Alam Toll. There - we were joined by Madame Jothy & her husband, Mr. Chew - both from SNF (anorther sister NGO) - however they came on their personal capacity.
At 7:45am - a convoy of 4 cars drove to Kuala Sgor. We stopped at IPPD Kuala Sgor for a quick breakfast and a get to know session. Our breakfast of roti canai were sponsored by Madame Jothy....Thank you Jothy for your generosity!
After breakfast we drove to Kg. Yu - our very first feeding area. We were greeted with shouts of glee from the children....they were happy to see us. Their excitement peeked when Jothy generously dished out treats of cream buns, choc bars, packets of biscuits and jellies to the eagerly waiting little hands. Angie & Santhi from Northgate Arinso distributed globs of chockies & toys - respectively - to the children.
The children gave shy & happy grins upon receiving their treats.
At the first house we also gave out some baby items for a very young - 19 year old - heavily pregnant mom. Her baby is due in October. We gave her a baby bath tub, baby clothes, feeding bottles, assortment of baby paraphenelia. She had this huge smile on her face. Thank you Asha for donating ALL those wonerful baby stuffs....
