This year - 2011, Project MADE in collarboration and with full sponsorship from our sister NGO - Inner Wheel PJ Club under the helm of Madame Valsala started it's very own Raya Feeding Program.
A total number of 6 families from Puchong & Ijok in Kuala Selangor were fed under this program. Actually, we started with only 4 families. However, as there were sufficent funding - to our delight - IWC PJ generously decided to increase the numbers of families.
The 3 families in Ijok were visited on Tuesday, 16/8/2011 and the other 3 families in Puchong were visited on Wednesday, 17/8/2011. These families had the pleasure of meeting the ladies from IWC PJ - Madame Val. Madame Usha Ram, Madame Shahidah, Madame Monica, Datin Joan and few others.
These families were given rice - 10kg, Meehoon - 2 pkts, Wheat Flour - 2kg, Instant Ketupat - 2 pkt, Maggi Mee - 2 big Packs, sugar - 2kg, Biscuit - 1 big tin, Raya Cookies, Canned Fruit - 1 tin, Sardines - 6 tins, Maggi Chili Sauce - 4 bottles, Jam - 1 jar,Peanut Butter - 1 jar, Oil - 2kg, Nescafe - 200gm, MILO - 1kg, Tea - 500gm, Orange Cordial - 1 big bottle, MILO ready- to-drink - 4 L, Beef Rendang - 1kg.
Each families also received a token sum of RM100 as Duit Raya from IWC PJ.
